MONTGOMERY -- Marjorie M. Gruber, 79, of Montgomery, died Monday at Central Health Care Center in Le Center.
The services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in rural Montgomery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
She was born on May 26, 1929, in Atwater to James and Myrtle (Munson) Dowdell. She graduated from Atwater High School and the College of St. Catherine.
She married John Gruber on Sept. 12, 1953, in Kandiyohi.
She is survived by six children: John (and Cindy) Gruber of Sparks, Nev., Mary (and Steven) Zard of New Prague, Bill Gruber of Sparks, Nev., Peggy Gruber of Mankato, Barb (and Ron) Stepka of New Prague and Geri (and Doug) Golstad of Montoose; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons: Gregory and Thomas; two sisters; and one brother.
