Marshall man airlifted after cycle crash near Wood Lake
WOOD LAKE -- A 26-year-old Marshall man was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday south of Wood Lake.
According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's office, Daniel Person was westbound on County Road 1, lost control of the cycle on a curve just west of the County Road 6 intersection and was ejected from his motorcycle approximately 270 feet before landing in a field. He was not wearing a helmet.
Known injuries at the time of the accident were a fractured wrist and fractured leg. Person was airlifted from the scene by North Memorial Air Care and taken to Sioux Falls.
Responding with the sheriff's office were the Wood Lake First Responders, Cottonwood Fire and Ambulance, Granite Falls Ambulance, North Memorial Air, the Minnesota State Patrol and Upper Sioux Police Department.
