WILLMAR -- Marvin Einer Anderson, 80, of Willmar died Tuesday at Golden Living Care Center in Franklin.
The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
He was born July 8, 1928, in Benson to Clarence and Mable (Anderson) Anderson. He lived with his family and was raised by his grandparents in Swift Falls where he attended school. He worked in Swift Falls for the creamery.
He married Lavon Ihnen on Sept. 2, 1950, in Starbuck. They lived in Swift Falls and moved to Willmar in 1953. He worked for Farmers Produce as plant manager and also worked for Nelson International, Duininck Brothers, J.C. Allan Construction and Willmar Cookie Company where he retired at 62. He lived at Little Norway Lake in rural New London. He entered the nursing home where he had been a resident in Willmar, Olivia and Franklin for many years.
He was a member of the Willmar Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2334 where he was president and was named Eagle of the Year.
He is survived by his children: Vani (and Mike) Phelps of Lakeville, Vicki (and Mike) Keith of Savage, Michael Anderson of New Folden, Verna (and Fred) Midbrod of Centerville, Mark (and Joleen) Anderson of Clear Lake and Valora (and Jim) Carlson of Svea; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
