Marvin L. Jose

Marvin L. Jose, 84, formerly of Sunburg, died January 11th, 2014 at the Grace Living Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. Marvin was born on April 24, 1929 in Creighton, Nebraska to Burton and Ella (McClure) Jose Sr.

Arrangements are with the Oklahoma Cremation Services.

A memorial service will be held on May 24th, 2014 in Plainview, MN.

Marvin enlisted in the United States Army on February 13th, 1951 and was honorably discharged on February 4th, 1953. His time serving was at Camp Rucker Alabama, where he injured his back and was later declared 40% disabled.

He was married to Marlene (Hervey) Jose in 1955.

Marvin became a postal clerk in Sunburg in 1971 and a post master in 1985. He retired in 1992.

Marvin was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. His hobbies were archery, collecting and shooting rifles, reloading, hunting whitetail deer and waterfowl.

He is survived by Ed Jose of Staples, Ken Jose of Newalla, OK and DeAnn (Mark) Hatleli of Elgin, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
