Mary Donner Jan. 9, 1919 - Dec. 2, 2008

BELVIEW -- Mary Laverne Donner, 89, of Belview, died Tuesday at Parkview Home in Belview.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Belview with burial in Belview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Huron, S.D., to William and Mable (Allen) Meisenhelder. She attended country school near Huron and attended nineth grade in Huron and 10th grade in Alpena, S.D. She came to Minnesota in 1936 and worked for a family in Echo and later for one in Redwood Falls.

She married Martin Donner on April 29, 1939, in Belview. They lived in the Belview area for three years and, in 1942, they moved to the Jens Gunelson farm and, in 1968, they moved onto their farm where she lived until June when she entered the Bridgewood Apartments in Belview. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Belview where she belonged to the ladies aid.

She is survived by her daughter: Ramona (and Arnold) Stelter of Echo; two grandchildren; one great-grandson and her sister: Betty Able of Spearfish, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000 and two sisters.
