Mary G. Routledge

WILLMAR -- Mary Gertrue Routledge, 93, of Willmar died Wednesday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the third-floor commons at Bethesda Heritage Center. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Willmar.
She was born May 1, 1914, in Karnes City, Texas, to John and Bessie (Mosley) Evans. She grew up and received her education in Edinburg, Texas, and graduated from Edinburg High School in 1932. She attended cosmetology training in Long Beach, Calif. She lived in Long Beach, where she owned and operated a beauty salon and also worked at the cosmetology school and Scope Enterprises.
She married Roy Routledge in 1946 in Garden Grove, Calif. They lived in California and later moved to Georgia. In 1991, she moved to Raymond and in 1997 to Willmar.
She is survived by her daughter: Virginia (and Bonner) Hawkins of Covington, Ga.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970 and a brother.
