MaryAnn Nordaune May 23, 1932 - April 16, 2009
GLENWOOD -- MaryAnn Nordaune, 76, of Glenwood died Thursday at home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood. Burial will be in Immaculate Cemetery in Sedan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood with a rosary and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and for one hour before the service at the church.
She was born on May 23, 1932, in Elrosa to Joseph and Mary (Halliday) Terhaar. She was raised on a farm near Sedan and attended Sedan School.
She married Alfred Nordaune on Aug. 30, 1949, in Sedan. They lived in Morris and Clarkfield before moving to San Diego in 1955. They returned to Sedan in 1973 and then moved to Glenwood where she worked as a baker/dietary aid at the Glenwood Retirement Village for 28 years. She was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood.
She is survived by her daughters: Marie of Woodbury, Kathleen of Hopkins, Josephine (and Rick) Davidson of Glenwood, Theresa (and Dan) Moody of Andover, Bernadine (and Paul) Gerde of Glenwood and Rosemary of Chaska; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and three brothers: Pat Terhaar of St. Cloud, Raymond Terhaar of Maple Grove, and John Terhaar of Nowthen.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, four brothers and two sisters.
