Mathilda B. Kaiser April 7, 1914 - Aug. 19, 2013

WILLMAR - Mathilda B. “Tillie” Kaiser, 99, of Willmar, died Sunday, August 19, 2013, at Central MN Senior Care in Lake Lillian. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm, Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial is in Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar.

Mathilda B. “Tillie” Kaiser was born April 7, 1914, in Danube, MN, the daughter of Adolph and Mary (Standfuss) Klatt. She grew up in Danube and graduated from Danube High School in the Class of 1932. Following high school, she went onto Teacher’s Training and received her teaching certificate. On September 7, 1936, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Kaiser at the parsonage in Olivia. Following their marriage, they lived in Danube and Tillie taught in rural schools for four years. In 1943, they moved to Willmar where Tillie worked at Kaiser Grocery, retiring in 1977. Lloyd preceded her in death on September 11, 1985.

Tillie was baptized and confirmed her faith at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Danube. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she had been active with ladies aid, various circles and many volunteer activities.

Tillie enjoyed knitting and was a devout Christian. She was strong-willed and didn’t mind sharing her opinion.

Surviving are her sons: Charles (and Judy) aiser of Silver Bay and Michael (and Lucy) Kaiser of Farmington; five grandchildren: Jennifer (and Scott) Molitor, Kent Kaiser, Jeff Kaiser, Gretchen (and Roger) Jacobson and Ward (and Lizette) Kaiser; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Lloyd, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.
