Mavis E. Kuehl

CLARKFIELD -- Mavis Eileen Kuehl, 83, of Clarkfield, died Tuesday at the Clarkfield Care Center. She had suffered with Alzheimer's disease.
The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are by Lynner Funeral Home of Clarkfield.
She was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Bolan, Iowa, to Arthur W. and Mabel (Kenison) Diedrich. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea in 1943. She lived in Northwood, Iowa, and worked at the Federated Department Store and then moved to Minneapolis and worked at Sears.
She married Leo Kuehl on May 18, 1947, in Minneapolis. They lived in Selby, S.D., where she worked at the Walworth County Courthouse. They moved to Clarkfield in 1951, and she worked at the Farmer's and Merchant's State Bank, retiring in 1985.
She was active in her church, the Garden Club, Flying Club, Sewing Club and volunteering with Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband; daughters: Susan (and John) Minor of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Charlann (and Paul) Anspach of Clarkfield; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three infant siblings.
