LAKE LILLIAN -- Maxine Elaine Sagness, 81, of Lake Lillian, died Friday at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Burial will be in Community Cemetery in Lake Lillian.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the church building fund, church choir or church scholarship fund.
She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Lake Lillian to Caesar and Elvina (Erickson) Linn. She attended grade school in Lake Lillian and graduated from Willmar High School in 1945.
She married Thurman Sagness on Aug. 7, 1948, in Lake Lillian. She worked as an accountant at Nordin Implement and the Lake Lillian Farmers Co-op Elevator.
She was a member of United Lutheran Church, former member and secretary of First Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian, volunteered for the Blood Mobile and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; her children: Jayme (and Robert) Faber of Lake Lillian, Michael Sagness of Mason, Ohio, and John Sagness of Minnetonka; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings: Glenn (and Dorma) Linn of Willmar, JoAnne (and Charles) Peterson of Pinehurst, Texas, and Darlene Schmoll of Camarillo, Calif.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother.
