GROVE CITY -- Maynard Louis "Jigger" Johnson, 73, of Grove City died Monday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements are by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield
He was born Sept. 29, 1935, in Union Grove Township, Meeker County, to Lawrence and Adeline (McCoy) Johnson. He attended high school in Grove City, graduating in 1953.
He married Arlyss Gratz on Sept. 1, 1956, in Atwater. He farmed for many years and drove truck for Johnson Brothers Construction. He retired in 1997. He was a member of the Teamster Union for more than 20 years.
He is survived by his children: Randy (and Yvonne) Johnson of Grove City, Pam (and Gene) Mix of Roseville, Cindy (and Dan) Dilley of Eagan and Scott (and Ann) Johnson of Backus; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; former wife: Arlyss of Grove City; siblings: Milton (and Sharron) Johnson of Brooten and Audrey (and John) Noyed of Cokato.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
