Meeker Co., Minn., sheriff seeking information on portable meth lab

GROVE CITY -- The Meeker County Sheriff is seeking information from citizens about an apparent portable methamphetamine lab found Tuesday just east of Grove City.

According to Sheriff Jeff Norlin, a deputy responded around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a suspicious package located in a culvert along County Road 11 just east of Grove City.

The item was a duffel bag containing items consistent with those included in a portable meth lab. The Minnesota Duty Officer and officials at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were contacted, along with a certified cleanup company, to properly dispose of the meth lab and waste.

The Sheriff's Office is working with the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force on this case. Norlin is asking anyone with information to call the Sheriff's Office.
