Meeker Co. Sheriff seeking info on fish house burglaries

LITCHFIELD -- The Meeker County Sheriff's Office is seeking information in regards to the fish house burglaries that happened overnight Wednesday evening and Thursday morning on Lake Ripley near Memorial Park.

According to Sheriff Jeff Norlin, his office took five separate reports of fish house burglaries in that area. Items that were taken include fishing tackle, rods and reels, a 12-volt car radio, a Vexlar battery, two 12-volt car batteries, a Blue Rhino brand liquid propane tank, and two fish cameras. Entry to the fish houses was made by breaking the locks on the doors, pulling the doors open, or by breaking and crawling through the window. The break-ins were believed to have happened between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.
