WILLMAR — Andrew Lau scored 22 points and Marcus Ratliff 20 as the visiting Riverland College Blue Devils took advantage of a poor shooting by the Warriors to capture a MIAC victory in men’s basketball 75-62 on Saturday at Ridgewater College.

The Willmar team shot just 36 percent on 21 of 59 while the Riverland five made 28 of 64 shots (44 percent).

The Warriors, who were also outrebounded 45 to 36, trailed by 12 at half and by as much as 23 in the second half, 57-34.

Only Melvin Kromah reached double figures for Ridgewater with 14 points. Zak Pendleton and Jake Rambow finished with 8 each as 10 Warriors scored.
