WILLMAR -- Ridgewater coach Bob Knutson suffered what he called his "worst defeat" ever in a 106-52 loss to the North Dakota State College of Science on Tuesday.

"Their coach said they played their best game of the season and we got punished for it," Knutson said.

NDSCS shot an otherworldly 70 percent from the field and outrebounded the Warriors 40-25. They opened a 31-point lead by halftime and kept the pressure on throughout the second half.

"They are just so fast," Knutson said. "So very fast. And then, when you shoot like that ... wow!"

Beau Herrig led the Warriors with 13 points and Brady Herrig added 9. Brady Herrig and Terrance Lockett both had 4 rebounds.

NDSCS' Bretson McNeal scored a game-high 24 points on 10-for-14 shooting from the field and also led the Wildcats with six assists. Four other Wildcats -- Justin Metze, Kenry Lewis, Clay Anderson and Eric O'Neil -- scored in double figures.

Ridgewater had 25 turnovers while NDSCS had 18. The Wildcats turned the Warrior miscures into 19 steals.

The Warriors are off until Nov. 30, when they play at Rainy River. They then play at Hibbing on Dec. 1.
