Men's Basketball: Ridgewater loses 91-68

Tribune Staff Report

FERGUS FALLS -- The M State men's basketball team is at the top of the MCAC Southern Division this season and Ridgewater found out why.

The Spartans shot almost 60 percent from the field in the second half, which was a bad combination since that's when the Warriors ran out of gas.

Former Minnewaska star Shane Bosek had 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead M State to a 91-68 win over the Warriors on Wednesday night.

Ridgewater fell to 0-6 in the Southern Division and 6-14 overall. M State improved to 5-1 in the league and 14-7 overall.

"In the first half, we played pretty well," said Warriors head coach Bob Knutson, whose team trailed by nine at the break. "In the second half, we just lost it. We had no energy. It was our worst half all season."

Ridgewater was outrebounded 43-27 and shot just 39 percent in the second half. Zak Pendleton scored 19 points and Tyler Pendleton had 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
