Men's Basketball: Sussenguth's 32 points lift Ridgewater past A-R, 89-78

COON RAPIDS -- Casey Sussenguth scored 32 points to lead the Ridgewater men's basketball team to an 89-78 MCAC Southern Division win over Anoka-Ramsey Saturday.

Sussenguth made 13-of-22 shots from the floor and pulled down 10 rebounds. The Warriors evened their league record at 3-3, 11-9 overall.

Ridgewater dominated the boards, pulling down 50. The Warriors' 15 offensive rebounds turned into 16 points. The Rams had just 23 rebounds and no second-chance points.

Mike Weber added 17 points and 11 rebounds, Shawn Neu scored 12 points, Nathan Nietfeld had 11 points, 14 boards and six assists, and Andy Kalenberg tallied 11 points.

Quincy Bethea Jr. cashed in 29 points to lead Anoka-Ramsey (2-5, 9-12). Charley Baker followed with 11 points and Ben Hill and Mohamed Camara chipped in 10 each.

Ridgewater will be three games this, Riverland today, Fergus Falls on Wednesday and Minneapolis West next Saturday.
