Zak Pendleton, a guard from Redwood Falls and Cedar Mountain High School topped the scoring column with 14 points, including 6 of 6 performance at the free throw line.

“We got out to an early lead and then they got on a run and tied it up (31-31) at halftime,” said Ridgewater coach Bob Knutson. “We came out on fire to start the second half and we kept the intensity up. We performed well.”

The Warriors, who are in third place in the conference by themselves after Minnesota West, Riverland and Anoka-Ramsey all lost Saturday, outscored the visiting Cavaliers 41-24 in the second half.

Beau Herrig (Mountain Lake) scooped 8 rebounds in the home team’s 52-34 advantage on the glass. He also scored 8 points.

The Warriors went to 6-6 in the MCAC South to stay in the playoff picture. The team will host Anoka-Ramsey on Wednesday, the final home appearance. The regular season wraps up next Saturday for the Warriors when they hit the road to take on Fergus Falls.
