Freshman Kiree Robinson paced the Warriors with 20 points with sophomores Melvin Kromah adding 16, Beau Herrig 12 and Terrance Lockett 11. Joe Leuze, behind three 3-pointers, and Brett Rickheim supplied another 9 points each.

Herrig forced overtime after making a short fade-away shot with 20 seconds left in the second half. The Warriors controlled the extra session from the get-go as Leuze nailed a three-pointer to set the tone for a 17-point frame.

Ridgewater was 8-for-8 at the free throw line in OT and 19-for-24 for the game.

“We played shaky in the first half, getting down 18,” said Ridgewater coach Bob Knutson. “There was a lot of learning going on, but in the second half we played better defense and played a lot more aggressive.”

The Warriors travel to Wahpeton, N.D., on Wednesday to play North Dakota State College of Science in the second game of a women’s-men’s doubleheader that starts at 6 p.m.
