LA CROSSE, Wis. — Ridgewater’s game went south just as Western Wisconsin Tech began heating up and the Warriors succumbed 86-73 in an MCAC Southern Division game Saturday.

Ridgewater led by four points at halftime but then shot just 39 percent in the second while WWT hit 18 of 30 shots in the second half, including a 13-0 run to start the half, and outscored the Warriors 48-31.

“That was kind of the game right there,” Ridgewater head coach Bob Knutson said. “We matched them after that but we just couldn’t make up the 13-0 run.”

DeJuan Curry led the Warriors with 19 points and Terrance Lockett again was a solid all-around presence, with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

Beau Herrig finished with 10 points.

The Warriors play at Anoka-Ramsey on Wednesday before wrapping up their schedule against Fergus Falls at home on Saturday.
