BIG LAKE -- Michael John Schaller, 68, of Big Lake, died Sunday in Monticello. He suffered from cancer.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crossroads Community United Methodist Church in Spicer.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are by the Twin Cities Cremation.
He was born Sept. 18, 1939, in Montevideo to Jesse and Lorraine (Ness) Schaller. He attended Montevideo schools and graduated in 1958. He was a meat manager for the Red Owl Corp. and worked the last several years at private stores. He and his wife, Ruthann, spent winters in The Villages, Fla., and summers in Eagle River, Ontario.
He is survived by his wife; his children: Loree (and Rich) Sommers, Tim Schaller, Deb (and Mike) Olson, Cory (and Danette) Schaller, Tracy (and Erika) Schaller, Troy (and Allison) Schaller, and Cary (and Becky) Schaller; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his father; and sisters: Kathy Beito and Joyce (and Howard) Kron.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
