Michael S. Ose May 27, 1951 - June 4, 2009

ECHO -- Michael Scott Ose, 58, of Echo, formerly of Redwood Falls, died Thursday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rock Valle Lutheran Church, north of Echo. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and will continue for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

He was born May 27, 1951, at Granite Falls Hospital to Clarence and Adora (Bue) Ose. He graduated from Echo High School in 1969 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. He married Janet Salewske on July 20, 1971, in Redwood Falls. He worked at Redwood Falls Police Department for 28 years, retiring in December 2000. He married Susan Larson on Aug. 20, 1983, at Rock Valle Church.

He was involved with the Wood Lake Battlefield Association and was a member of the American Legion, the First Minnesota Civil War re-enactment group and S.A.S.S. (single action sharp shooters).

He is survived by his wife: Susie; children: Jamin (and Amber) Ose of Spokane, Wash., Jessica (and Chad) Ness of Redwood Falls and Caleb Ose (and special friend Ashley) of Redwood Falls; stepchildren: Jeremy Larson of Redwood Falls and Kristy Larson (and fiance John Saunders) of Granite Falls; five grandchildren; his mother; a brother: Duane (and Rena) Ose of Alaska; and sisters: Diane (and Gordy) Volkmann of Jordan and Kari (and Mark) Anderson of Muskatine, Iowa.

CLARA CITY -- Carolyn Johanna Tebben, 93, of Clara City died Friday in Apple Valley.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Clara City and will continue for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

She was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Clara City to Joseph and Johanna (Gerzema) Bush. She attended school in Clara City and graduated salutatorian in 1934.

She married John L. Tebben on Feb. 26, 1937. They farmed west of Clara City for eight years and then moved north to Louriston Township for four years. In 1948, they bought a farm near Kerkhoven and farmed for 41 years. During their last few years on the farm, they spent time in Tucson, Ariz. They moved to Clara City in 1990.

She was a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City.

She is survived by two sons: Gerald (and Mavis) Tebben of Prinsburg, and Dennis (and Barbara) Tebben of Apple Valley; a twin sister: Clara Fokken of Long Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
