BENSON -- Michael Thomas Kotzer, 47, of Benson died Wednesday as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Danvers.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson. Burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in rural Benson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service Monday.
He was born Aug. 30, 1961, in Mohall, N.D., to Jerome and Kathleen (Arneson) Kotzer. He grew up in Mohall and received his GED. He went on to receive a college degree in plumbing.
He married Desiree Cree Rawls on July 25, 1998, in Wahpeton, N.D. They lived in Benson and he worked for Jennie-O farms in Danvers.
He is survived by is wife; children: John (and Monica) Solem of Hancock, Joshua Kotzer of Benson, Nicole Kotzer of Morris, Michael J. Kotzer of Quantico, Va., Stacy Kotzer of Tintah, Bryanna Rawls of Rexburg, Idaho, and Dylan Rawls of Lewisburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; his mother of Mohall, N.D.; siblings: Debbie (and Glenn) Johnson of Wahpeton, N.D., Connie (and Tim) Vosberg of Wahpeton, Kathy (and Kellen) Forbes of Velva, N.D., Rick Kotzer of Jamestown, N.D., and Terry (and JoAnn) Kotzer of Glenburn, N.D.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Kotzer; his father; and one brother.
