BELGRADE -- Mildred Elaine Anderson, 86, of Owatonna and formerly of Belgrade, died Dec. 12 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
The service will be at noon Sunday at Crow River Lutheran Church in Belgrade. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are with Michaelson Funeral Home of Owatonna.
She was born April 15, 1922, in Kandiyohi to Christian and Anna (Caspers) Ahlfs. She was raised and attended school in the Kandiyohi area and graduated from high school in Clara City.
She married Gudwin Anderson on Dec. 31, 1944, in Belgrade. They lived in Belgrade before moving to Waite Park. They moved to St. Cloud and later to Austin, where she worked for Sears. Gudwin died in 1975. She moved to Roseville in 1978 and continued to work for Sears. She moved to Owatonna in 1998.
She is survived by four sons: Don (and Beverly) Anderson of Owatonna, Robert (and Chong) Anderson of West Chester, Ohio, Dale (and Pat) Anderson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kim (and Rhonda) Anderson of Steubensville, Ohio; two daughters: Marsha (and Reb) Hanson-Bowman of Plymouth and Jan Smith of Owatonna; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister: Doris Grippo of Clearwater, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and two sisters.
