MORRIS -- Milton James Horgen, 86, of Morris, died Sunday at home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Morris.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris.
He was born July 21, 1922, at home in Yellow Medicine County near Clarkfield to Albert and Gina (Livgard) Horgen. He grew up on farms near Boyd, where he attended grade school and later graduated from high school.
He married Adair Phelps on May 31, 1950. He owned a lawn sodding business in Boyd for several years. They moved to Redlands, Calif., in 1952 and he worked for the Southern California Gas Company for 28 years planning the layout of the natural gas services for new housing tracts. He retired in 1984. They moved to Alamogordo, N.M., in 1990, to Alexandria in 1994, and to Morris in 1998.
He is survived by his wife; daughter: Gwen (and Steve) Rudney of Morris; three grandchildren; three sisters: Karen Horgen, Lois (and Merlin) Laabs, all of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Donna (and David) Legrid of Anoka.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and one brother.
