Minneapolis police, fire departments call for blood

Email

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minneapolis police and fire departments are participating in a friendly competition for the rest of January. And even though it's good-natured, they're still calling for blood.

The two departments have partnered with Memorial Blood centers and they are competing to see who can recruit the most blood donors.

The Eden Prairie and Bloomington fire departments are also participating in the competition.
