Minor injuries in Highway 23 crash near Hanley Falls, Minn.

HANLEY FALLS -- The six occupants of two vehicles that collided around 2:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 23 and County Road 18 were checked for injuries and then released by ambulance crew members.

According to the State Patrol, a 1998 Honda Civic driven by Marco Lopez-Gomez, 21, of Sibley, Iowa, was eastbound on County Road 18 and collided with a 2004 Chevy Impala driven by Jenniefer Schwankl, 33, of Cottonwood. Lopez-Gomez and his passenger, Hernan Perez, 21, of Sibley, were not hurt.

Schwankl and a 7-year-old passenger were treated for minor injuries. No injuries were documented to her other two passengers, Eric Schwankl and a 4-year-old child.
