Minor League Baseball: Smith, Captains tie series with Ft. Wayne

Willmar native Jordan Smith and the Lake County Captains (Eastlake, Ohio) beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps 7-4 in the Midwest League Eastern Division finals Sunday. The Captains are a Class-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Smith had two hits including a 2-RBI triple.

The two teams will face off 6 p.m. tonight in Eastlake in the series finale of the best-of-three series.
