Missing Minneapolis hunter found dead with gunshot wound to abdomen north of Morris

MORRIS, Minn. - An autopsy is planned for a missing hunter who was found dead north of here Friday night.

The Stevens County Sheriff's department received a report of a missing hunter in Section 19 of Swan Lake Township on Friday at about 7:20 p.m.

The Morris Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted the sheriff's department in the search.

An hour after they received the report, authorities found the body of 68-year-old Kent Bank of Minneapolis.

Preliminary findings indicate he died of a shotgun wound to the abdomen, authorities said.
