MnDOT advises no travel Sunday night; more roads closed
The Minnesota Department of Transportation continues to advise no travel in southwestern Minnesota due to blowing snow and limited visibility.
At 5 p.m. crews closed Highway 4 between Highway 212 and Highway 7 due to a crash. That road is still closed to traffic.
In addition to Highway 4 north of Highway 212, these local roads are closing due to weather:
Highway 4 south of Highway 212 to Highway 19.
Highway 19 from Highway 23 to Highway 71.
Highway 67 from Highway 212 to Highway 59.
Highway 71 from Highway 14 to Highway 23 just south of Willmar.
These roads will remain closed until further notice. When a road is closed, it is illegal to travel in the area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Motorists are advised not to travel in southwestern Minnesota until road conditions improve and MnDOT and State Patrol opens the roads to traffic.
