MnDOT invites public input on 20-year state highway plan
ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public and transportation stakeholders to review and comment on the draft Minnesota 20-year State Highway Investment Plan through July 31. This will be the final opportunity for the public to provide input on the plan.
The State Highway Investment Plan connects the Minnesota GO 50-year vision and policies established in the Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan to capital improvements on the state highway system. It establishes priorities for spending projected capital revenue, identifies planned investments during the next seven years based on these priorities, and details strategies to ensure the effective use of available resources.
The plan can be accessed electronically at www.dot.state.mn.us/planning/mnship/. It is also available for review in hard copy at the MnDOT Library, 395 John Ireland Blvd., in St. Paul, and at offices statewide.
MnDOT will have a public hearing from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 29 in Room G15 at the MnDOT Central Office, 395 John Ireland Blvd., in St. Paul. The public also may participate via videoconference at MnDOT offices, including at the Willmar office at 2505 Transportation Road and at the Marshall office at 1800 East College Drive.
Those unable to attend in-person can participate in an online webinar via Adobe Connect. For details, visit: www.dot.state.mn.us/planning/mnship/participate.html
Written comments or additional inquiries will be accepted through July 31 and should be addressed to:
Ryan Wilson, MnDOT Office of Capital Programs and Performance Measures, 395 John Ireland Blvd, MS 440, St. Paul, MN 55155 or to email@example.com.
