Monte stabbing victim remains in serious condition
MONTEVIDEO -- A man remains in serious condition today at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis after a reported stabbing early Friday at a bar in Montevideo.
The Montevideo Police Department is looking for Victor Daniel Medina, 21, of Montevideo, who allegedly stabbed three people early Friday morning.
According to Police Chief Adam Christopher, officers were called to Inn Like Flinn's Bar around 2:15 a.m. Friday on a report of a fight. Three people had been stabbed by a person identified as Medina.
All three were taken to Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, where two were treated and released. The other person was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Montevideo police said this morning that the man is in serious condition there.
Anyone with information about Medina should contact the local police or sheriff's department or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Citizens are urged not to approach Medina, who has a previous assaultive criminal history and is a confirmed gang member. He is currently on conditional release for an assault involving a knife.
The department was assisted by the Chippewa and Yellow Medicine County sheriff's offices.
