Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius announced the appointments Monday in a news release. The 2011 Legislature mandated the development of a new evaluation model to be used by school districts and teachers in the event they do not agree on a local evaluation model.

The first meeting of the task force will be held on Dec. 13.

The panel of educators will be joined in their work by four ex-officio members of the Legislature appointed to represent their respective caucuses.
