MADISON -- When the field set off from in front of the Grand Theater at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, the bank clock already was at 80 degrees with a humidity reading to match.

Still, the runners made their way through the residential streets of Madison to complete the Lutefisk 3-Mile Run in uncomfortable conditions in decent times as part of the town's 125th anniversary.
