Motor vehicle theft
WILLMAR -- The theft of two dirt bikes was reported around 11:40 a.m. Monday at Motor Sports of Willmar. The bikes, valued at $3,000 and $1,600, were believed to have been stolen last week.
WILLMAR -- The theft of a cash box was reported around 11 a.m. Monday at Auto Save Inc., 1781 41st Ave. N.E. The box contained $293.50 in cash and checks.
WILLMAR -- A case of identity theft was reported around 11:20 a.m. Monday along the 1400 block of Fifth Street Southwest. The caller said someone was using his name and date of birth to get a driver's license. Police were able to inform him that the name was being used in several states.
NEW LONDON -- A 39-year-old New London man was arrested for driving while impaired around 4:15 a.m. Monday along State Highway 9 and 62nd Street. A passerby had found a vehicle in the ditch with a man passed out behind the wheel.
WILLMAR -- A 53-year-old Willmar man was arrested for driving while impaired around 9 p.m. Sunday at McDonald's, 717 First St. S. Management had called the police to report a vehicle crash in the parking lot.
WILLMAR -- A 59-year-old Willmar man was arrested for making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct around 6 p.m. Sunday along the 1400 block of Lakeland Drive Northeast. The arrest came after another man claimed the man threatened him with a shotgun.
