'Mother in my Head' opens in New London

NEW LONDON -- The Little Theatre in New London presents "A Mother in my Head" at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The evening begins with Sara Miller playing love songs through the years. There will be special music by Graden West and his granddaughter Molly Shumaker, and a quartet with Martha Alsleben, Jan Marquardt, Becky West and Teresa Hass, and soloist Anita Stulen.

Then slip into the lives of two young people as they begin their careers, meet and fall in love, each coached every step of the way by the "mothers in their heads."

George Kueppers plays Manny and Kaitlyn Wolbeck is Mary.

Renee Johnson is Mary's mother and Laurel Iverson is Manny's mother.

The show is directed by Deb Nelson and Jacki Orson.

Tickets are two for $17 at the door; student tickets are $5.
