Richert, on the way here to winning the second of the three heats, won his first feature last weekend at the St. Croix Valley Speedway to up his lead in the UMSS points race. Sixteen of the winged roadsters raced in the the 20-lap main, which was won by Brooke Tatnell of Forest Lake; Richert finished third. Speeds reach 90 mph with laps under 15 seconds. The 360 Chevy engines generate up to 700 horsepower for the 1,100-pound car. Tribune photo by Rand Middleton.2 / 2
