Munson sparks Ridgewater win

THIEF RIVER FALLS -- With Northland focusing in on Ridgewater sophomore center Terra Billiet, Jamie Munson helped carry the Lady Warriors' offense by netting a game-high 20 points as Ridgewater won its fourth straight by drubbing the Pioneers 59-41 Friday.

Munson, a 5-11 sophomore post from Melrose, had four points at halftime before erupting for 16 in the final 20 minutes of play. Munson drained three 3-pointers and was 5 of 6 at the free-throw line in the second half.

"Munson stepped up and was a big spark plug for us," said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl. "The defense is saving us right now. We're not hitting the open looks, but hopefully we can start to hit some and get some confidence."
