Con man Harold Hill, played by David Lanning, poses as a boys' band organizer and leader, and sells band instruments and uniforms to naive townsfolk before skipping town with the cash.
In River City, Iowa, Darcy Lease Gubrud plays the prim but progressive librarian Marian, who sees through him. When Hill helps her younger brother Winthrop, played by William Madsen, Marian begins to fall in love with Harold. Harold, in turn falling for Marian, risks being caught to win her.
Charlie Oaks plays Marcellus Washburn and Don Thompson is Mayor George Shinn. Shari Sletta plays Mrs. Paroo and Anthony Reynolds plays Tommy Djilas. Zaneeta Shinn is played by Marie Nilles-Melchert.
Charlie Cowell played by Brian Daniel, Locke-Chris White is conductor/constable Locke.
Alice Lindgren plays Amaryllis, Laurie Allen plays Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn and Molly Tengwall plays Gracie Shinn.
The members of the Barbershop Quartet are Bruce Melchert, Bill Bannon, Brian Daniel and Randy Koppen.
The Women Quartet/Pickalittle Ladies are Margaret Lanning, Laura Carlson, Peggy Karsten and Kayla Rekieta.
Playing townspeople are Sandra Koppen, Debbie Friedlein, Brenda Talbot, Lori Park Smith, Cathy Bays and Kelly Zuidema.
The kids of River City are played by Amalia Jungclaus, Parker Smith, Jessica Bays, Anne Sletta, Erica Ellingson, Laura Miller, Elizabeth Mangen, Emily Carlson, Emily Skala, Melaney Madsen, Ingrid Lindgren, Sydney Lanning, Kathryn Gubrud and Jonathon Carlson.
The play is directed by Al Rohman, with Phil Holzman as musical director and Christopher McAninch as the technical director.
