Mussels among topics for CRWP annual meeting

STARBUCK -- The Chippewa River Watershed Project is hosting its annual meeting at the Starbuck Community Center on Thursday, March 25.

The free event begins at 5 p.m. followed by a meal at 6 p.m. and presentations at 7 p.m. Mike Davis with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will offer a program on the "wonderful world of mussels.'' Mussels are important biological indicators of a river's health and Davis has collected lots of information on their populations in the Chippewa River watershed.
