Gene Platt doesn't consider himself a nature photographer, but he knew enough to take advantage of an opportunity when his neighbor called to tell him that he had watched an eagle hunt a coot on Diamond Lake. Platt grabbed his Kodak camera with a small zoom lens and got close enough to capture these images of the eagle feeding in a tree. The photos were taken in early October. Submitted photo
