NBA: Former St. Cloud Tech star Wolters signs with Bucks

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks have signed second-round draft pick Nate Wolters, who starred at St. Cloud Tech during his prep career.

The team announced the signing Thursday. Terms were not disclosed. The St. Cloud Times reported Thursday that Wolters’ agent, Jared Karnes, said the multi-year deal has guaranteed components to it.

The 6-foot-4 point guard played four years at South Dakota State, where he holds school records for scoring (2,353 points), assists (663) and free throws made (644).

Wolters scored a school-record 53 points and broke another mark with nine 3-pointers in a win over IPFW last February. He led the 14th-seeded Jackrabbits to their first NCAA tournament appearance in the 2011-12 season and another trip last year.

As a senior last season, Wolters averaged 22.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. He became the first Summit League player to earn AP All-American honors when he was named to the third team.
