ND, MN farmers gathering for grains conference
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- Hundreds of farmers from North Dakota and Minnesota are gathering in Grand Forks for a two-day conference.
The annual Prairie Grains Conference is set up by six farm-related groups, including the North Dakota Grain Growers Association and the Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers.
That group's director tells Agweek that a better harvest season this year might boost attendance. Dave Torgerson says the past two years, weather delays kept many farmers in the field during the conference. Last year, about 650 people attended.
Topics this year range from 2011 weather to a global commodity market outlook.
