ND students use sandbags in prank

WEST FARGO, N.D. - Some West Fargo students found a mischievous way to use sandbags left over from this spring's flood fight in the Red River Valley.

The high school seniors piled sandbags about 3 feet high in front of all of the school's major doors on Tuesday morning.

Principal Gary Clark says school officials brought in a tractor and trucks and had custodial and maintenance staff come in early to remove the bags quickly so classes could start on time.

Clark says school officials are taking the prank seriously. He says the sandbags could have slowed firefighters trying to enter the building in the event of a fire. He also worries that the next senior class will have to "one-up" the prank.

Clark says the students will foot the bill for the overtime and equipment costs.
