Neighborhood feud turned deadly, New Brighton police say

NEW BRIGHTON, Minn. -- A New Brighton man allegedly shot two of his neighbors — killing one of them — as an ongoing dispute about feeding deer turned deadly Monday evening, authorities said.

Neal Zumberge, 57, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the shooting, which broke out about 8:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of Knollwood Drive, police said.
