New book highlights Gopher football

Gopher football is detailed in a new book called Gophers Illustrated: the Incredible Complete History of Minnesota Football.

Researched and drawn by Al Papas, Jr., the 224-page hardcover ($24.95) is due out in September from the University of Minnesota Press.

Beginning with their first game in the fall of 1882 against Hamline University, the book is full of stats, game charts, and stories.
