He takes over for Jamie Thompson, who resigned last month to accept another position in the district.

Blahosky has been working in the education field since graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with majors in physical education and sports management and a coaching minor.

He has 14 years of coaching experience in basketball and football at the varsity and junior varsity levels. He has served as both a head coach and an assistant.

Blahosky has worked in both small and large school districts. He made the initial move to the activities director position seven years ago as an assistant AD while at River Valley High School in Mohave Valley, Arizona. He became a full time activities director/dean of students five years ago at Durant, Iowa.

Ryan's wife Marcola is also a physical education and health teacher. She has experience coaching volleyball, basketball, and golf. The couple has 14-month-old twin daughters Reece and Jordan.
