Newlyweds found shot to death in Winona County
NODINE, Minn. -- A small, rural community in Winona County is shaken by the shooting deaths of a newlywed couple.
Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand says the bodies of 47-year-old Morgan Nederhiser and his 59-year-old wife, Debrah Nederhiser, were found in an upstairs bedroom at their home in the unincorporated community of Nodine Tuesday afternoon.
Brand says there were no signs of forced entry. He tells the Winona Daily News the Nederhisers are the only ones involved in the shooting, but investigators don't know yet "what exactly took place."
Neighbor Mike McGuire says the Nederhisers were married in September and seemed happy.
The bodies were taken to Rochester for autopsies.
