NL-S workers build it quickly

In the photo, volunteers at the Wildcats' playing fields in New London set the raise the first stud wall at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday of a multi-sport storage facility that will about double the size of the present storage garage, at right, which is being re-shingled and re-sided.

With a concentrated effort by up to 45 men, some of them building contractors, the goal was to have a good share of the construction completed by late evening.

The $13,000 cost of materials, including concrete pad, is covered by a donation from the Wildcats Booster Club. Tribune photo by Rand Middleton.
