NLS coach Kevin Friedrich initiated the fundraiser last year and again will send the opposing team pink shoeleaces to wear during the game. The Wildcats will wear pink shirts and pink shoeleaces.

Friedrich, who has "had to deal with cancer" of his own, said the event raised over $1,500 last year.

Donations will be taken at the gate or by sending them to: Fastpitch Softball Coach, Prairie Woods Elementary, c/o Kevin Friedrich, 17435 Cty. Rd. 9 NE, P.O. Box 430, New London, MN 56273.

All proceeds will go the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Kandiyohi County.
